Our food tours must be booked and paid for in advance through our website.
In order to ensure the best experience, our food tours require us to inform our tour partners (restaurants, etc.) so that they can plan and prepare for the number of participants.
Our food tours can only be booked online and be paid using PayPal, or others.
If you cancel your purchased food tour 60+ days prior to its start date, you will qualify for a full refund. Cancellation between 59 and 30 days prior to the date of the food tour, the refund is 50% of the amount paid. Cancellation less than 30 days prior to the date of the purchased food tour, no refund will be due to you.
If I am late and do not arrive in due time to the beginning of the food tour, can I get my money back and/or reschedule?
Delays and no-show by the participant at the date and place indicated for the beginning of each food tour shall not have any refund or rescheduling.
Our food tours have an approximate duration of 3½ to 4½ hours. You can find more information about their duration on their respective website page.
Throughout the duration of the food tour experiences, participants are always accompanied by an Eat in Algarve Food Tours' guide.
The food tours require a minimum of 2 people and a maximum of 15 people.
You will be required to present your ticket either printed or in electronic form. We recommend that you use proper footwear and clothing according to the weather conditions of the day and that you are in proper physical condition to be able to walk by foot, climb stairs, and enjoy alcoholic drinks and spicy foods.
With a few adaptations, mostly in the drinks’ tastings, our food tours can be suitable for children. Please inform us during the booking process, so that we can make any necessary adjustments ahead of time.
However, it is important that the adults take into account that the food tours demand some preparation/physical predisposition (walking routes, climbing stairs) as well as interpretation skills to understand the history and regional gastronomy, in order to fully assess whether the experience is appropriate for the child/children.
Our food tours are not entirely appropriate for people with reduced mobility. There are historical buildings that are not adapted for disabled individuals.
The walking pace is medium in order to meet the set schedule for each food tour. The breaks are scheduled according to the tastings, but almost all of them offer chairs and tables as well as toilets.
Throughout the food tours, you will enjoy 5 to 6 food tastings, 3 to 4 drink tastings (mostly alcoholic drinks), which is equivalent to a substantial lunch.
The tastings of each food tour are set out according to their theme and historical background. Most of the ingredients are of animal origin, for example, meat and fish.
All vegetarian requests, intolerances and/or food allergies should be informed during the booking so that we can ensure the possible adaptations. The food tours are not recommended for vegans.
In order to stick to the schedule, we kindly ask you to make your purchases after completing the food tours.
